Pelvic and Perineal Pain - Beyond Endometriosis and Pregnancy
Pelvic and Perineal Pain - Beyond Endometriosis and Pregnancy is a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course designed to help healthcare professionals understand the complex and multifactorial nature of chronic pelvic and perineal pain. The course explores how pelvic pain may occur independently of visible pathology and examines the biological, neurological, musculoskeletal, psychological, and functional factors that contribute to persistent pain conditions. Chronic pelvic pain affects individuals across different age groups and may significantly impair physical function, emotional wellbeing, relationships, sleep, work participation, and quality of life. Although conditions such as Endometriosis are commonly associated with pelvic pain, the severity of symptoms does not always correlate with disease extent or imaging findings.
